Apsheronsk district is famous for its springs of mineral and thermal waters, medicinal clay and a large number of healing plants.
Unique natural conditions in the district offer great potential for developing health resorts and tourist complexes. The climate remains mild, with warm weather lasting from April to November.
Among the attractions are mountain rivers, peaks, gorges, caves, waterfalls, alpine meadows in the forested mountain zone, ancient sites, and various observation decks. These features support the growth of different types of tourism like ecological, educational, scenic, mountain, adventurous, cultural, ethnic, skiing, hang gliding, rafting, canyoning, and more. There is also a ski resort in development, part of a resort and tourist complex that currently consists of 68 organizations, including 25 recreation facilities and one health resort.
